Ignorance and Want! The Twins Who May Change America Forever!
Bribed, Blackmailed & Brainwashed: “A Generation That Knew Not Jesus” – Part #27

When Charles Dickens wrote “A Christmas Carol” in 1843, the economic condition of England was a mess! The Industrial Age had congregated millions of people into urban environments, and the gap between ‘charity’ toward the poor and ‘public work houses,’ became a stark reality for many of the ‘downtrodden’ in British society. Dickens’ classic, “A Christmas Carol” while not overtly religious, certainly sounded themes of ‘social injustice’ and the treatment of the poor. In one scene, Dicken’s introduces us to ‘The Ghost of Christmas Present.’ A gregarious man in a ‘Santa Claus-like robe’ awakens the main character, Ebenezer Scrooge, and takes him on a ‘whirlwind’ journey to see how friends, family and strangers are ‘celebrating Christmas’ that very night, Christmas Eve. A miserly Scrooge was already being chastened by the ghost of his dead partner, Jacob Marley, and a young lady who turns out to be “The Ghost of Christmas Past.” A seemingly happy fellow, Scrooge dialogues with this second character as to the ghost’s purpose for Scrooge, when at last he notices a foot sticking out from beneath the ghost’s robe. The spirit shows him two gaunt and wretched children huddled close to him. After a time, Scrooge asks the ghost:
“ ‘Spirit! are they yours?’ Scrooge could say no more. ‘They are Man's,’ said the Spirit, looking down upon them. ‘And they cling to me, appealing from their fathers. This boy is Ignorance. This girl is Want. Beware them both, and all of their degree, but most of all beware this boy, for on his brow I see that written which is Doom, unless the writing be erased. Deny it!’ cried the Spirit, stretching out its hand towards the city. ‘Slander those who tell it ye! Admit it for your factious purposes, and make it worse. And bide the end!’ ‘Have they no refuge or resource?’ cried Scrooge. ‘Are there no prisons?’ said the Spirit, turning on him for the last time with his own words. ‘Are there no workhouses?’ ” [https://www.whychristmas.com/achristmascarol/ ]
The obvious conclusion to be drawn is that even during that present age, society was filled with those who were Ignorant and those who were in Want. A case could be made to say that Ignorance and Want were a product of the rapid ‘Industrial Revolution’ of the West – and the failure of a supposed ‘Christian Society’ to make adequate provision for the poor. But that’s a subject for another Blog. While it was no doubt true for that age, I do think that were the ‘Ghost of Christmas Present’ to visit someone today, the children underneath his robe would be named Ignorance and Desire. I say this partly because ‘people today are not in want in the way they were during Elizabethan England in the 1800’s.’ What plagues us today is the deadly combination of Ignorance and Desire. Let me expand on this idea of Desire. I don’t just mean human passion or sexuality, nor do I mean man’s desire for ‘personal improvement or prosperity.’ I actually mean what Aristotle, the famed Greek Philosopher, termed, ‘The Belly.’ The Belly takes in all human needs, not just those that are legitimate needs – but also those that are ‘cravings, addictions, wants, needs, raw appetites and obsessions.’
What we are experiencing today are the ‘naked desires and wants’ not solely based on human need. There is no doubt that living in the West has changed man’s appetites and desires drastically, so much so that many of the Americans we would deem ‘poor’ also suffer from ‘obesity’ and other health issues. Another irony is that while we live in ‘the Age of the Internet’ in which a ‘glut of information’ is available to virtually anyone, far too many of our ‘young’ are functionally Ignorant. This is evident in both the entertainment they watch, and the values which drive their behavior. These later generations have ‘very high expectations for themselves’ and yet seem unwilling to do the work required to attain their desires. I still marvel that far too many young people get their news from ‘Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat and Yahoo News.’ What makes this deadly, is their complete ignorance of their own history here in America, and our ‘Love for Liberty and Personal Responsibility.’ But as bad as this is politically, it’s an Ignorance of God and the Gospel of His Son Jesus Christ, that may well ‘Change America Forever,’ and not in a good way.
Even with their unrealistic expectations - they unquestioningly accept the manipulative ‘dictums that the State Controlled Media’ has been spouting to their generation over the past 20 years. Three issues prove my point: 1.) That Donald Trump is a horrible Racist who is going to ‘destroy Democracy,’ 2.) That the Covid 19 Pandemic was a completely legitimate response to a real disease, and 3.) That Israel is systematically killing Palestinians – actually committing ‘genocide’ on men, women and children who are ‘non-combatant neighbors.’ The irony is: When you ask them for specifics (facts), they have none to give, they just repeat generalized ‘epithets’ they have been ‘Brainwashed’ to believe, watching their phones!
1.) The First Issue claims that Trump is a horrible racist who is destroying Democracy. Tune into any broadcast – whether it’s cable TV or a YouTube video and you’ll hear everything from: ‘Trump is going to destroy democracy,’ to ‘the tariffs are putting millions of people out of work.’ These are common phrases that our current ‘Children of Ignorance’ repeat. In actuality, these are Democrat Party ‘talking points’ you hear incessantly on the ‘State Controlled Media’ from the ‘talking heads.’ Be aware – they take their cues from ‘The New World Order,’ with money from China and Globalist Oligarchs like George Soros. Happily, the Democrat Party – the chief mouthpiece of these ‘globalist lies’ – has to rely on the Media to get its message out. For many years, Democrats had a ‘monopoly’ on many Government Agencies and NGO’s to whom they ‘shoveled money’ through USAID (U.S. Agency for International Development), and many other government programs – used as ‘slush funds’ – to fund Democrat coffers. Trump has been effective in slowing down this ‘shoveling,’ using D.O.G.E. (Dept. of Government Efficiency) and the revelations by Nick Shirley and other ‘independent journalists’ who have uncovered wide-spread graft, kick-backs and scams across many Blue States! What’s hard to swallow is, that the American Taxpayers have been paying for their own destruction. History will one day make it clear that President Trump was never a threat to our Republic and the democratically elected representatives ‘We the People’ elected to serve us! It’s amazing our ‘Children of Ignorance’ know so little of what’s really going on, and believe blatant lies.
2.) The Second Issue. I’m actually blown away listening to people – who should know better – still spouting the Covid-19 Deception! There is so much information readily available that ‘documents’ the Covid-19 Scam, and the Deep State characters like Tony Fauci who propagated the largest ‘pandemic-scam’ in the history of mankind. Over 50 million dead worldwide, millions more vaccine-injured and millions who will now have to live with the consequences of this ‘Global Reset’ as Klaus Schwab (former head of the World Economic Forum), called it. We now know that the Virus was developed here in the U.S., then shipped to China to perform ‘gain of function’ work on it – long before it broke out in 2019. Elements within our own government were involved in the development of both the Vaccine and the Virus. Now that’s what I call Corruption! Senators Rand Paul (Tennessee) and Ron Johnson (Wisconsin) have done amazing work uncovering the deliberate deception and arbitrary ‘iron fist’ with which these Deep State actors ruled during the Pandemic. And yet, most of our young – and many older Americans still believe that this virus came about from natural causes. More importantly – they support all the ‘draconian’ restrictions by U.S. Government officials after the disease broke out. Sadly, these young people believe ‘the government had to restrict us, then threaten to jail us to stop the spread of this disease.’ When ‘The New World Order’ takes over, these young people will be predisposed for Tyranny. Sadly, it may already be too late.
3.) This Third Issue should make us all fearful – especially because of the implications for a free people. The vast majority of our ‘Children of Ignorance’ believe Israel to be the aggressor in the conflict with Hamas (a known terrorist organization). Israel was attacked on October 7, 2023, by a coordinated wave of 1,500 Militant Hamas fighters. Over 1,200 Israeli citizens (men, women and children) were killed, and 241 of them were taken captive. Many of the captives were raped, tortured and killed – with only 58 survivors finally released in 2025. In response, two radical Palestinian Terrorist groups: Hamas and Hezbollah were attacked by the Israeli army, killing many of the actual fighters. As usually happens, Hamas fighters hid among their own civilians in Gaza and Lebanon. To any thinking person, Israel had every right to defend their own citizens. What can be well documented is that the Israelis went to great lengths not to engage or bring deliberate harm to non-combatants. Regardless of the facts – the ‘Pro-Hamas’ Left Wing Democrat Party here in the U.S. – went on a terror campaign for several years, attacking Jewish students and destroying public property on College Campuses.
Most adults are well aware that you cannot trust any of the reporting done by ‘Pro-Hamas’ news outlets – especially from Hamas itself. It’s now been proven that they skewed the reported dead and wounded resulting from Israel fighting back against the cowards who killed 1,200 non-combatants at a ‘Music Festival.’ Yet, the ‘Pro-Palestinian’ lobby is very well funded and has a strong voice in the American Media. If you ask a young person: ‘Why do you side with Hamas and not the Jewish people?’ Be prepared to get a crazy answer. Many of them are not even aware of the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. Like most of the issues championed by these ‘Children of Ignorance,’ the only responses you’ll get will be that Israel is an aggressor, deliberately targeting and killing innocents. If America is to survive, these Twins, Ignorance and Want, will need to be addressed. This is why Charlie Kirk was so effective. He helped a generation of these ‘Children of Ignorance and Want’ hear opposing viewpoints. He made them think!
