“It’s Hard to Be Discerning When You’re Brainwashed!” (Hebrews 5:12)

 Bribed, Blackmailed and Brainwashed – “Total Confusion in the Information Age” – Part 20

Since Donald Trump was inaugurated into his second term a year ago, it has been a wild ride!  There is definitely a war for the heart and soul of the American people. On one side,  you have patriotic citizens who are quite upset that American Leaders – both Republican and Democrat, have “ruled against the will of the people.” From a polling standpoint, virtually all Democrats – and many Republicans – are on the wrong side of all the 80%-20% issues Americans care about: a. Illegal Immigration, b. Genital Mutilation of Children, c. Radical Environmentalism, d. Massive Fraud by NGO’s and Special Interest Groups stealing from the American Taxpayer, e. Indoctrination of U.S. schoolchildren with “Woke-Progressive-Marxist Ideology” including Critical Race Theory and Black Lives Matter, and f. Promoting Anti-Semitism on College campuses by Hamas and Radical Muslim Activists. Sadly, this is just the short list. Thankfully, the Trump Team has “hit the ground running” to address each of these issues – and has accomplished more in a year than anyone could possibly have imagined!

But the war still goes on. Even without any ability to govern, or policies that might improve life for working Americans – the “Woke-Marxist-Democrat-Party” is still a formidable opponent. This reality is not because of their expertise or message, but in their ability to “lie and deceive” millions of “low-information-voters” who are incapable of rationally thinking through any issue. From a Biblical perspective, it’s referred to as “an Inability to Discern.”  The writer to the Hebrews – quite possibly Paul’s travel companion, Barnabas, wrote his Epistle – warning Jewish Christians not to fall back into Judaism! Throughout his Epistle, he told them repeatedly that Christ was Better! By the time we get to Hebrews Chapter five, Barnabas is warning these Jews that they were still acting like children. Barnabas had just told his readers about an amazing character in the Old Testament, one who “had neither a beginning nor an end, who is Melchizedek, the King of Salem.” This was a serious discussion on a weighty subject matter – yet, he couldn’t say much more because they were still hung up trying to grasp “entry-level” spiritual issues that most children had mastered.  Here’s his warning to them:

“About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil” (Hebrews 5:11-14).

What is most amazing is the phrase: “powers of discernment.” I wish I could say that all people have this basic skill, but sadly, since the Fall of Adam and Eve – it’s quite the opposite. Most people are very prone to being deceived and naturally gravitate toward falsehoods and lies. In my own experience, these people are whom the late Rush Limbaugh referred to as: “Low Information Voters.”  Talking with them on virtually any issues: Moral, Political or Spiritual, it’s quite easy to see their limitations. Just start a conversation on any of the great issues of our day (actual myths that modern Americans believe), you’ll find two qualities present: 1.) Absolute certainty that they are right, and 2.) A complete ignorance of the salient facts. Within seconds you’ll understand what it means to be “Brainwashed.”

Take the George Floyd killing by Minneapolis Police Sergeant, Derek Chauvin, as an example. To begin, ask your Liberal friend these questions: You’ve stated that Minneapolis Police Sergeant, Derek Chauvin, killed George Floyd while he was in Police custody. Were you aware that the Coroner’s Report stated that contributing factors to George’s death were underlying heart disease and fentanyl in his system? Are you also aware there has been heavy political pressure from Minnesota’s government to censor information and manipulate the verdict? Most likely, you’ll see “blank stares” as he struggles to respond. Occasionally, you’ll run into a real ‘scoffer’ who has a bit more knowledge – but that only means he’s been prepped to say: “That story about Heart Disease and Fentanyl has been debunked as a ‘conspiracy theory’ by the experts.” But as you dig, you’ll learn that those people are just parroting what they heard by the so-called experts on CNN or MS NOW. They haven’t actually examined any facts of the case. These people have been trained to derail any facts with their own spin on the truth. Remember, everyone has a right to their own opinion, but there is only ‘one set of facts.’ Because of the deliberate attempt to manufacture a narrative, it’s now hard to discern truth from error. Was George Floyd trying to sell illegal drugs at the bar where he was arrested? Might he have swallowed all of his illicit drugs in ‘condoms’ when he heard the cops were coming for him?

Another question to ask your Liberal friends: “Do you think there are other ‘thinking people’ with differing opinions than yours? If so, can you intelligently state your opponents’ main points?” That will tell you if they have actually considered them. In most cases they don’t know – nor have they even considered there are contrary opinions. The Minneapolis authorities have done their best to ‘obscure the facts’ of the case, but truth has a way of surfacing. Regardless, most fallen men and women who are in the darkness of deception, are not interested in interrupting their beliefs with new information – especially facts. What’s sad, I could replicate this example almost ‘ad nauseam, ad infinitum.’ Just consider the massive number of myths that “The New World Order” has convinced the “Low Information Voter” to be true: 

• Trump stole the 2016 Election with the help of the Russians (i.e. the Russia Collusion Hoax).

• Trump called Nazis in Charlotte “very fine people.”

• Trump tried to steal the 2020 Election, asking Georgia officials to manufacture 10,000 votes.

• We could fight a man-made influenza virus with a useless vaccine, paper masks and social distancing of 6 feet.

• That massive illegal migration all over Europe and the Americas is all because of ‘Climate Change.’ 

• Gender is fluid and based on Psychological Factors, and can change daily. Gender is Not Biological Science! 

• A Man can get pregnant.

• Illegal Invaders overrunning former Western-Christian Societies is ‘Not Population Replacement.’

• Antifa and Black Lives Matter were ‘mostly peaceful protesters’ over the past ten years.

• Trump supporters, peacefully protesting a stolen election in 2021, was a ‘Full-Blown-Insurrection!’ 

If we go deeper, we could mention other more pernicious myths: All white people are Racists and enjoy Privilege. ‘Killing pre-born human beings is a choice.’ Being LGBT is ‘another normal response’ to human sexuality. That many Christians are unclear on many of these issues, is very disturbing. In each of these examples, you’ll find the degree of “disinformation and ignorance” of the actual facts on the ground, to be startling! The big question I hope to answer in these next several Blogs is not “how” people are so deceived, but “why.” My graphic at the top should make it clear that the ‘Legacy Media’ and the ‘Big Tech Giants’ controlling social media platforms, have gained massive influence with our young. And it’s clear that the Education System in the West has sown the seeds of our own destruction – teaching “falsehoods instead of truth.”  Again, my real question is: “Why does this disinformation work so effectively?”  My answer has five parts which we will briefly cover:

1. An Inability to Think Critically: This is the sad state of affairs in the 21^st Century. Education has been ‘dumbed-down’ so seriously, that generations of young adults are only taught to feel. This is truly the Feminization of Western Societies.

2. Media Indoctrination: People are getting their information in a vacuum. They have no reference point of “righteousness” with which to compare / contrast – and they never question what they are told.

3. A False Sense of Moral Superiority: Many people – especially on the Left of the political spectrum, spend much time “Virtue Signaling” their supposed enlightened and moral positions. Some people on the Right are also tempted to be “cocky” regarding their moral superiority. But the fact that many on the Right have God’s truth as a foundation, makes it hard to disagree with God’s Standard.

4. Deception: Many people in our current age never consider that much of what they hear is a deliberate lie. There are worldwide movements which are paying millions of dollars to fund the “collapse of the Western Christian Societies.” Their accomplices in the Legacy Media repeat their lies with “straight faces” even though many know they’re false. Ultimately Satan, “The Father of Lies,” is behind all untruth. The Evil One seeks to sow hatred, disharmony and confusion.

5. Intense Pressure from Pop Culture: The desire for fame and stardom appears to be the highest ambition of young adults. This is reflected in their desperate desire to be socially accepted by the “cool kids” in the entertainment industry.

To brainwash one person is a serious undertaking. But to brainwash an entire Culture to vote for its own extinction, has been a mammoth undertaking by the ‘post-war’ New World Order for these past 81 years. The level to which they’ve been successful is shocking.  One look at Western Europe is both sad and alarming. The Europe of old, with mostly ethnic majorities in each major country, has been wiped out. If you consider for a minute the Jewish Christians to whom the writer of Hebrews wrote, you’ll see that they struggled with many of these same issues. Their Jewish culture seemed to ‘trump’ (no pun intended), their desire to know and believe God’s Truth! Some of them had succumbed to their need to be accepted and to feel they belong by their ethnic people group. And despite their ‘having been enlightened by the Spirit’ they were in danger of going back to the ‘weak and beggarly’ elements of Judaism. I guess things haven’t really changed much over the past two millennia!
