John 3:16 and the Feminization of the Church! – Part #10

“Our Culture Has ‘Daddy’ Issues!” – They Hate God the Father!

It’s sad, but the changes in thinking and values that have happened in Western Cultures over the past 50 years appear to have spilled over into the Church. But I wonder if that’s opposite of what has really happened. Could it be that the modern Evangelical Church, having abandoned ‘sound doctrine,’ is now witnessing a ‘cultural downgrade’ of Christian values as a result of the Church’s abandonment of the Truth? Jesus Himself asked His Disciples: “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again?” (Matthew 5:13). Western cultures reflect the failure of the Church to act as a restraining force against evil across most Western cultures. The cause of these changes is a subject for future consideration, but for now, let’s look at the modern ‘Evangelical Church.’ The Church in Western Cultures has become so drunk with the cheap wine of ‘God’s universal love’ – that most people cannot even fathom the changes within the cultures that these faulty views have birthed.  In the first blog in this series, I elaborated on the ‘Feminization of Western Cultures,’ specifically in Western Europe and America. At first glance, this Feminization clearly fits the agenda of the ‘World-Socialist’ movement. That Socialist and Communist Forces have worked to ‘destabilize Western Societies,’ attacking the building blocks of our culture: A vibrant Christian Faith, the Nuclear Family, and Respect for Country – is not open to debate. It stands to reason, since these forces are trying to bring in ‘The New World Order,’ that is One-World Government – they need to suppress any anchors that hold Christian Societies together.

As I mentioned in a previous Blog, the dawn of The Christian Era during the reign of Constantine, changed the pagan-secular culture in the West for the better, finally bringing in a degree of ‘tolerance and compassion.’ But with this more ‘gentile era,’ Christian cultures began to struggle with two presentations of the Gospel: Do we only promote God’s ‘Mercy, Grace and Kindness’ in the Gospel, (a feminizing’ focus), or should Christian Cultures promote a masculine perspective as well: ‘Truth, Justice and Righteousness?’   Both perspectives of God are taught in Scripture. And as I have previously pointed   out, ‘The John 3:16 Love-God’ Gospel of the Modern Church is not concerned with God’s Justice, Righteousness or Holiness. An earlier version of the Western Church worked to keep God’s Love and Mercy in tension with God’s Holiness and Justice.  The recent – ‘highly emotional Love-God Gospel’ is only concerned for ‘Love, Mercy, Compassion and helping Sinners feel ‘loved, accepted and good about themselves.’ This is a big reason why the Doctrine of Repentance has fallen into disuse. Men and women want to ‘feel good about themselves, not ‘feel conviction for sin.’ As a result, the Modern Gospel basically starts with:

“God loves you and has a Wonderful plan for your life!”  

Needless to say, nowhere in the New Testament is anything close to that statement ever preached or delivered as the Gospel. Here’s how the Message of the Cross and Jesus’ so-great Salvation – was offered to poor sinners!  On the Day of Pentecost Peter told the Israelites: “Save yourselves from the punishment coming on this wicked people!” (Acts 2:40). And Paul, preaching to Gentiles in Athens warned them:

“God overlooked peoples’ ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him” (Acts 17:30).

One of the ways you can test this ‘hypothesis’ of mine is to ask: ‘Did any other New Testament writer, either an Apostle or Prophet, ever even quote John 3:16 or expound on it in their Gospel Call to unbelievers?’  Again, the word ‘Love’ doesn’t even appear in the Book of Acts. Or, did any other Apostle or Prophet in the rest of the 27 Books of the New Testament, ever quote John 3:16 in the way that Christians (since the Enlightenment) have used this passage? The answer is a simple, No. Only the Apostle John’s 1^st Epistle has anything close to John 3:16, but in the context, it’s clear that John wasn’t talking about Unbelievers, or All Men, Women and Children across planet Earth:

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Any-one who does not know God, because god is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us” (1 John 4:7-12).

The context of First John makes clear the Apostle was talking to the Church! Jesus loves His Church and was sent to be ‘the propitiation for their sins.’ This literally means ‘the turning away of wrath.’ Only those who have moved all the way to ‘Unitarian-Universalism believe God’s wrath is turned away from all mankind!  Apart from merely ‘neutering the Power in the Blood of Jesus,’ this wrong interpretation of John 3:16 has led an entire Feminizing Movement to demean and diminish the ‘Holiness, Justice and Wrath of God!’ When men finally meet the God presented in both the Old and New Testaments – they just don’t like Him! 

Mankind likes a God whom they have fashioned after their own understanding and feelings. The God of the Bible is both Merciful and Just. He Loved His Church so much that He gave His ‘only begotten’ Son to suffer and die a shameful death on the Cross to save them. It’s no wonder that many Denominations – who’ve based their entire theology on a perverse interpretation of that one Verse in John’s Gospel, have moved to totally renounce Jesus’ Sacrificial Death as ‘barbaric and uncivilized.’ The doctrine of ‘Christ Crucified’ has become an offense to the vast majority of mainline protestant denominations – especially Methodists! And if an Evangelical tries to tell them: ‘God has to punish sin, His Righteous Law demands it’ – They will confidently answer you: ‘God so loves all mankind that He would never send anyone to hell to torture. God is Love, John 3:16 tells us so!’  When Evangelical Christians show them Scriptural proof from the very words of Christ, they will tell you that ‘the god you profess is full of hate, warlike and violent.’ They use the same words and terms they use to describe ‘traditional men’: TOXIC!

You see, the Feminist Movement clearly ‘hates men and masculine behavior.’ And for the past 25 years, has ‘warped the minds of boys and girls’ – teaching them from their earliest years in school – that any aggressive male behavior is violent and must be medicated and repressed by society. This ‘unnatural thinking’ was birthed by the ‘neutering of the Toxic Father God’ from the Bible – whom they clearly hate.  An effeminate, swooning Jesus, unable to drag his Cross up to Golgotha – with Jesus’ mother and the women who accompanied Him – needing to hold Him up, that’s the God they like. He’s the ‘Metro-God,’ more ‘unisex’ at minimum – or as some now say: 'God is a She!' I believe that the Church birthed the New Feminized, Guilt-Free, Love God  – and is all made from images of Man's Fallen Imagination!  Both the world, and much of the Church clearly have 'Daddy Issues,' world, and much of the Church clearly have ‘Daddy Issues,’ and I’m not just talking about hating masculine men, or describing normal male behavior as ‘Toxic,’ They Hate God the Father as presented in Scripture!

And while it appears that women are in ‘ascendency,’ in Western Cultures and even in the Church, modern women are not happy with the Men or the God they have ‘neutered.’  Not that God can, or ever has been ‘neutered,’ but the grand Institutions of the West universally hold both God and Men in contempt. And these Denominations, who weekly present the ‘Feminized Gospel,’ are witnessing a serious decline in membership and attendance. No doubt, there are Radical Feminists who love going to Church to Hear Reverend Helen or Ellen preach about love – liberally quoting John 3:16 (a verse never quoted again in the New Testament in the way we moderns use it)! Every message is about ‘tolerance for sin, that is, accepting not just the sinner but their sin as an expression of their unique person’ – never preaching about Repentance, Obedience or Struggling to Overcome Sinful Behavior!  No way, God loves both the Sinner and the Sin!  And as the Love-God of John 3:16, He has already died for Everyone!  Again, it’s no wonder that Unitarian-Universalists take the next ‘logical step’ and proclaim: ‘No one will ever go to Hell! God is Love, and He would never, ever send a ‘rotten sinner to suffer for the wages of their own sins!’

If ever you present a balanced view of God from Scripture, most moderns – especially those enlightened souls who believe the Feminized Gospel, you’ll quickly grasp how muddled their thinking is. They can’t imagine that God, Father, Son and  Holy Spirit – is a Holy God! “Your eyes are too pure to look at evil.” (Habakkuk 1:13), He is “mad at the workers of iniquity every day” (Psalm 5:5) and God will triumph over His enemies, crushing them down in Judgment, sending them all to “a Lake that burns with Fire and brimstone” (Revelation 21:8), where the “fire will not be quenched, neither will the worm die” (Mark 9:48). Those who reject Christ will be “punished from the presence of the Lord” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), and their torment will never end.  These masculine doctrines are not easy to grasp – but they are nonetheless true, and must be proclaimed. And truth be told, it’s not the Father who will judge, for He has “committed all judgment unto the Son” (John 5:22).

In closing, let me observe the irony of today’s Feminist Woman, who is much like your typical Evangelical Christian. In the dating scene, there are mostly the ‘softer and gentler’ ‘metro-males’ populating the ‘online dating services, social media and especially colleges and universities.’ But most women don’t really like them. For college educated females, rising to the top of their professions in the ‘Woman’s World’ that modern culture has created, they are all looking for ‘the perfect man.’ A man who is ‘progressive and believes in the feminist agenda,’ who also loudly proclaims a ‘woman’s right to choose to kill her unborn child,’ and the ‘total rights of all foreigners to live in the West on our dime.’ At the same time, they long for a ‘traditional man,’ who will take care and protect them and any children they may allow to live. These mixed messages have driven men away from many modern women. Likewise, the ‘Metro-Love-God’ has emptied the Church of most men, and the Gospel of ‘All-Love-All-The-Time’ is unsatisfying to both men and women. God help us to recover the Gospel of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is our only hope!
