“We Need A Whole Lot More of Calvin, and a Lot Less Jean Rousseau!”

Bribed, Blackmailed & Brainwashed: “Why Do They Hate Us?” – Part #25

In my teenage years, I remember a story about a Christian Radio Station in the southern part of the U.S., blasting their a.m. signal – actually interrupting local ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll’ stations during their broadcasts.  They played a short portion of a song by Wayne Raney. The song’s title and lyrics proclaimed, “We Need A Whole Lot More of Jesus, and a Lot Less Rock ‘n’ Roll!” Without getting too deep, the message was clear: In our American culture, ‘Rock and Roll had become a powerful counterinfluence to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ,’ and they wanted to reverse that trend. I totally agree that there are far too many unhealthy influences that shape our culture. So, I invented my own version of this song’s lyrics with another reason for why we were losing our ‘cultural values.’ My lyrics are related to the underlying ‘philosophical values of our current age: “We Need A Whole Lot More of Calvin, and a Lot Less of Jean Rousseau!” Both John Calvin and Jean-Jacques Rousseau made powerful philosophical arguments about the nature and character of fallen men. Both arguments have deeply impacted Western thought. Whether people want to admit it or not, Calvin’s philosophy, that is, that men and women are ‘totally depraved’ – has done more to help mankind than Rousseau’s naive philosophy that ‘men are noble savages,’ who need only to cast off the shackles of Christian values, and ‘do what naturally brings them pleasure.’ 

At the heart of the Calvin-Rousseau debate is whether man is a fallen creature with sinful desires and ambitions – or – if ‘sin is just a guilty construct of Religion used to control the masses.’ It should be noted that Rousseau’s philosophy was one of the driving forces behind Karl Marx’s ideology. Whereas Calvin’s understanding of the fallenness of human nature led our Founding Fathers to build a set of ‘checks and balances’ into the American Constitution – Communist Socialism has actually led to an increase in bloodshed and bondage – while pretending to champion man’s freedom. Those of us living in Western Cultures are no longer shaped by the concepts and values of the Christian Gospel, we now live in a culture devoid of the values upon which men cried out: ‘Give me Liberty or give me Death.’ Several generations of ‘dumbed-down’ young adults have no moral framework with which to reason and live. They are being deceived by the false allure of Communism. So, we need more of John Calvin’s teachings!

The impetus that brought about this Blog has been the videos posted by visitors from around the world – all attending the ‘World Soccer Cup’ games that are currently being held at stadiums across the United States. It turns out that it’s not just the Democrat-Controlled-Legacy-Media here in the United States which hates America and our way of life, but the ‘Global-Media-Complex’ in Europe, Asia and Africa as well. These news outlets constantly distort their news broadcasts – to portray the United States as ‘a horrible place to live, where violence, homelessness, racism and crime’ make America a ‘virtual hell on earth.’ We know that these reports are not true, but literally thousands of foreign visitors to the U. S. are finding out for the first time, what a beautiful, prosperous, kind and generous country America really is!  Further, they are amazed to discover this. We could easily blame the Global-Media-Complex’ for these slanted stories. But it goes much deeper than the handful of International Media Groups that control virtually all of what we see and hear. The truth is: Much of the World ‘hates what the United States stands for.’  Turns out Trump was right again when he told us: “They don’t hate me, they hate you!”

The larger question has to be asked: “Why does the world hate America with a passion, but at the same time – most of them want to come here and enjoy the bounty that God has provided for us?” As I mentioned in a 2-Part Blog Series “The Blindness of Their Hearts” in November 2021, I don’t think the problems are intellectual. The ‘Globalist-Media-Complex’ – including the ‘Deep-State-Legacy-Media’ have access to all necessary information, and they are smart enough to get the story right. But like everything they do, they are well aware that they are part of something much bigger:  ‘A Global Movement to bring about a New World Order.’ They are fellow Communist travelers whom the globalist powers have: Bribed, Blackmailed or Brainwashed into actually believing the Lies being told. How well I remember the ‘hand-wringing’ by RINO REPUBLICANS in George W. Bush’s Administration, who, after 9-11, kept asking over and over again: ‘Why do they hate us?’ The answer was so apparent that it was foolish for them to even ask. But because they were controlled by the New World Order – they could never acknowledge that: ‘We are in a Struggle with Competing Ideologies (Islam, Communism, Transhumanism, One-World Government, etc.),’ which have clearly identified ‘Middle-Class-Christian-Americans’ as the ‘Global Public Enemy Number One!’  They know who and what they are fighting for. Whether it was jealousy, greed or just a lust for power and control, doesn’t matter. They want to subjugate the West in general – and the United States in particular!

Recent polls conducted across these United States are alarming:  Less than 25% of Democrat Voters are ‘proud to be an American.’ And don’t fall for the: ‘ICE is the New Gestapo, persecuting and killing innocent Americans and peaceful immigrants’ – mantra, which Democrats are continually giving as the reason for hating ‘the land of the free, and the home of the brave.’  No, these polls have been in a downward spiral since Barack Hussein Obama and his ungrateful wife Michelle, spent eight years teaching an entire generation to hate and despise America and her people, especially White-European-Christian-Americans! This hatred is virulent among young people – especially those who attend American Universities and Colleges – where godless-Communist-professors pummel them each day with the ‘doom and gloom’ of the ‘failed American Experiment.’ In the words of Obama’s own Pseudo-Christian Pastor, Jeremiah Wright:  “The Chickens have come home to roost.” Sadly, he believed that 9-11 was proof that America was finally getting her just deserts!

The answer to ‘Why are they doing this?’ – Is a bit more complex. They are Revolutionaries, looking to topple the system for ‘grievances’ (real or imagined), or just to make a buck by betting on the ‘winning team’ in this struggle. I tend to look deeper at the ‘mindless masses of youth’ who have been mentally poisoned. Most of them have been kept completely ignorant of America’s History – especially the fight for ‘political freedom’ – from the Ruling Classes of Monarchs and Wealthy Lords and Ladies in Europe. We’re in that same fight again, though the Wealthy Lords and Ladies have different titles, they still function as the ‘elites’ in American Society – just like they functioned under the old monarchies – and even in Communist countries. The ‘wealthy elites’ and ‘powerful’ always seek to control government to further their own ambitions. Our Founding Fathers were well aware of the corruption of money, politics and power. So, taking the cue from John Calvin, who sought to build a Democratic Republic – that is a functioning government – whose real constituencies were not the ‘wealthy elites,’ but ‘We the People!’ What a novel concept, elevate the ‘common man’ to give him a voice in the way he’s governed! They didn’t trust fallen men, so they built ‘checks and balances into the system!’

Now, several generations of ‘spoiled, self-entitled’ college educated (but dumber than a rock) young adults, clamor that they ‘hate America,’ claiming they are entitled to get free stuff from the government – all by taxing the wealthy. Little do they know that these Democrat-Socialists-of-America are the very ‘wealthy-elite’ who hate them. They never work to help or lift anyone up, they just want to ‘control all the peons’ who they believe should be enslaved. As we listen to foreign visitors attending the ‘World-Soccer-Cup Finals’ – we should realize that something very special happened here in these United States: The Birth of Citizen Government and real Freedom!  This produced a ‘Middle-Class’ that Europe, Asia and Africa had never experienced. No people in the annals of History were ever more free, more prosperous and less plagued by war.  There is no question that ‘God has shed His grace on thee,’ that is, on America’s people and her standing in the world.

“Why do they hate us?” It’s one thing to look at the ‘ungrateful, non-assimilated foreigner’ who has a ‘political, religious or ideological axe to grind.’  But it’s another issue entirely, to ask: “Why do our own citizens hate their own country?” The easy answer is, they’ve been ‘taught to hate’ in the public schools, colleges and universities, the pop-entertainment media that has bashed ‘people of faith, Christianity and working people in fly-over country.’ For years, T.V., movies and the ‘Progressive-Marxist-Hollywood’ cabal has done everything it can to denigrate faith, patriotism, marriage, hard-work, parenthood, virtue and any Christian value, once a vital part of American Culture. We have one major political party, that is the Democrats who are  committed to ‘fundamentally transforming America into something else.’ Americans are guilty of Racism and Theft – stealing everything we have from poor ‘brown and yellow people’ around the world. Time for America to be punished.

My prayer for my readers as well as all Americans is, if we are to have a revival of ‘faith, family, freedom, thankfulness, honor, virtue and obedience to the law’ – this will only happen if we have a ‘revival of the knowledge of God!’  We’ve traveled this wrong road to obtain “Sinful Rights” – notice, I did not say “Civil Rights.” There is nothing civil about what’s going on. Antifa, Communist Activist Groups, Young Entitled Men and Women are ready to tear this country apart, trash the whole system and bring it crashing down, all in the hope that a Communist New World Order will force us into a mythical ‘Utopia.’ The only way we will ever have a perfect government will be in a ‘New Heaven and Earth,’ where:

“No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:3-5).
