“World Peace: Make Ukrainia Great Again”

By Richard Allen – March 21, 2022

Indulge me while I make two mistakes right at the start of this week’s blog. First, I’m well aware that the name of this Eastern European country is not Ukrainia. Secondly, I’m not really wishing for “world peace” along with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to see the innocent hurt during the Ukrainian conflict. I’m more concerned that the rest of the world will get caught up in a deliberately orchestrated war, causing death and mayhem on a much grander scale, which in the end will result in a greater loss of lives and treasure.

As to this second mistake - I’m reminded of the comedy, “Miss Congeniality” (2000) where undercover FBI Agent Sandra Bullock impersonates a beauty contestant to catch a killer. As one of the finalists in the pageant, she is questioned by the pageant’s Master of Ceremonies Stan in an obligatory “what matters to you most” segment of the contest. Rapid fire, every one of the buxom contestants who went before her all wished for World Peace, but when it’s Sandra’s turn as a Law Enforcement officer, she surprises everyone by answering: “Harsher punishment for parole violators, Stan.” You can hear the crowd audibly gasp as she apparently committed a grievous mistake by not wishing for world peace. So, after an uncomfortable moment of silence, she adds “and world peace,” to the delight of the audience. I’m not going to do that today. Considering man’s fallen nature, and history of warfare – world peace will never be attainable in this life. Let me paraphrase something I heard Pastor John MacArthur say: “So called times of peace, were really just an opportunity to reload.” We won’t have real peace until the Prince of Peace returns.

Once again, the narrative of the news cycle is determined by the “talking heads” in the Mainstream Media (MSM). They don’t so much report the news, as they craft the narrative to justify and communicate the Globalist State’s actions. As evidence, let me suggest that everyone has seen at least one montage of the MSM using the same words – demonstrating a common script. And the current narrative is: “Ukraine is of strategic interest to the United States, Europe and her NATO Allies, so we have to prevent the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” even if it means potential war with Russia. Mark my words, when China takes Taiwan (notice that I did not say IF - China takes Taiwan), these same talking heads in the media will be saying: “Taiwan is of no strategic interest to the United States.” Or, “Taiwan was always a part of China until 1949, why are we interfering with an internal Chinese matter?” The same arguments can be made for a big part of Ukraine, which has been under Russian control and a part of her territory since the “Treaty of Perpetual Peace (1686).” Another silly argument that has been made: “If we let Russia take Ukraine, then they’ll have ports on the Black Sea.” Ironically, the Ukrainians already allow them to use these ports on the Black Sea.

I’m sure that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping believe that NOW IS THE TIME TO ATTACK. This is an unprecedented time – with the United States presidency vacant. Sadly, the once most powerful nation on earth is currently being run by the Globalist New World Order, so there’s little chance of any consequences for Russia’s conquest. As I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, it’s unlikely that Russia will be opposed militarily, but may incur further economic sanctions. Make no mistake, China is calling the shots. This whole orchestrated conflict has less to do with Russian aggression or Ukraine and her safety and security, than it does with facilitating the Changing of the World Order, which is exactly what the New World Order is all about. The current goal is to put pressure on Russia to join the New World Order and come under control of the international banking consortium that controls most of the world’s money. It’s also a perfect diversion for the Globalists who need to collapse the American Economy and then install a structure of One World Governance – with China at the top, as they blame our failed capitalistic constitution for creating poverty and hunger for millions.

The New World Order and its international banking community will then offer structure and support, which most naive souls will readily accept in place of their freedom. No doubt, there is always a Faustian bargain when people are offered something for free. The truth is – for most of human history – many people feel that selling their freedom for so-called world peace is a good deal. This scenario may all seem like a train-wreck in slow motion, or a bad movie where you know that a major catastrophe is right around the corner, but are helpless to stop it from happening. So what’s actually going on? It may surprise you to hear that there are two answers, and both are coming to pass at the same time. One has to do with the historical perspective and the other has to do with God and His purposes for mankind. Let me start by referencing the historical perspective of what has been called: The Changing World Order.

I recently watched a video that is 50% history and 50% apologetics. As to history, the author points out that the Changing World Order, which George H.W. Bush called: The New World Order, has happened several times before. But the author also makes the argument for why the World Order is moving away from the United States, to China. The video is called: “Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order” and its author, Ray Dalio has also written a book with the same title. The video is worth watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xguam0TKMw8&t=422s. Dalio quickly reviews the history of previous changes to the World Order over the past four centuries. And he also observes that this same pattern of Changing World Order has a cyclical nature to it, pointing out that we are currently in a similar cycle. I’m sure that most thinking people won’t have any problem with Dalio’s historical perspective. There just isn’t much to argue with when it comes the historical record. Where I found myself bristling a bit, was with the rationale he offered as to why it’s happening. Why is America in Decline and China on the rise?

The author points out that Dutch and British Empires had both risen and fallen from dominance centuries before - for much the same reasons that America is faltering today. As a loyal American Patriot, I wanted to point out to Dalio that America is being undermined by enemies, both foreign and domestic. So I reason that America didn’t necessarily have to decline the way it has. There’s been a deliberate effort by four of the last five presidential administrations to devalue our dollar, export jobs overseas, destroy our moral standing with needless wars and allow corporations and universities to accept monies from foreign invaders, all to compromise our competitiveness and technical expertise. But even as I found myself in mild disagreement, I realized that this is exactly what happened in prior Changes to the World Order. Just consider one Change in the World Order, that is the Dutch Empire’s collapse, giving rise to the British Empire.

The Dutch Guilder (money) was basically the reserve currency of the world starting in 1581 as the Dutch East India Company pretty much controlled commerce globally. And the Dutch West India Company actually founded and claimed New York City and most of New Jersey in 1621. As Explorers, Traders and Master Ship-Builders, the Dutch, after breaking away from Spain and defeating the Portuguese, easily dominated the world’s markets until their decline near the end of the 18th Century. At one point it could have been asked: “How could a dominant empire like the Dutch decline and fall?” The answer was both external and internal. Externally, the British copied the Dutch designs for Ship-Building, even bringing master ship-builders over from the Netherlands – but using cheaper English labor to build the same ships. You should immediately start seeing some parallels. No Empire collapses without threats from external and internal sources. External threats are pretty apparent, as other empires desire to displace the existing empire in the marketplace and they’ll war against it, sink their ships and do whatever it takes to defeat their prosperity and rule. A good rule of thumb as Dalio puts it: Leading powers don’t decline without a fight.

Internally, the Dutch citizens didn’t protect their designs, collaborating with the Brits to steal their own technology and allow England to dominate ship-building and commerce. Sound familiar? In many ways they were fat and lazy from success and the prosperity it brought, which weakened them to a point where they were not hungry or motivated to protect their control of the market. The sad truth is, success was the cause of their own failure. “Prosperity and Plenty” are deadly and fatal to both people and empires. Dalio mentions eight metrics to determine an Empire’s strength and overall success: 1.) Education, 2.) Inventiveness and Technology Development, 3.) Competitiveness in Global Markets, 4.) Economic Output, 5.) Share of World Trade, 6.) Military Strength, 7.) The power of their Financial Center in Capital Markets, and 8.) Strength of their Money as a Reserve Currency.

Now much of this may sound academic, but truthfully, these factors have been observed in one form or another by many historians and political scientists. In Edward Gibbon’s classic: “The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire,” Gibbon points out some similar factors that led to the demise of Pax Romana (the Roman Peace) that lasted 1,000 years: 1.) Internal Strife, 2.) Economic Deterioration, 3.) The Split Empire, 4.) Weakened Military, 5.) Barbarian Migration & Invasion. Maybe it’s just me, but this looks like the “Democratic Playbook” they are currently using under our PINO (President in Name Only) figurehead, Joe “Brandon.” I know that this is all a bit depressing, as it depresses me just to write it. Just think, as crude an instrument as he might have appeared to many believers, won’t they be surprised to find out one day that Donald Trump’s attempt to Make America Great Again was our last chance as a nation to slow the decline of the American Empire and delay the reign of China? The Chinese Communist Party, a regime that’s already shown reckless disregard for human life, can’t forebode good for either the world or for Christians.

As I said above, there’s a second answer as to why this is happening, that’s going on parallel with the historical cycle of “Changing World Orders.” For the sake of argument, I’d like to simply refer to this as: The Spiritual Perspective. If you remember in my first blog “What is Truth?”, Jesus alluded to a spiritual dimension of life. John 19:10-11 reads:

So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?” Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.”

Just like the old gospel song we used to sing in the 1970’s proclaimed: “Kings and kingdoms, shall all pass away, but there’s something about that name (i.e. Jesus).” No matter what else we think, human history is really “His-Story!” God is working out His own purpose and plan, and in his own time will set up kings and kingdoms, and He will also tear them down when His Purpose has been fulfilled. What if all the advancement in human technology and innovation has just been to further the advancement of the gospel of Jesus Christ? Those same ships that brought commerce through the Dutch East India Company, indirectly enabled the great Missionary Movement of the 19th and 20th Centuries. Was this not God’s providential means to bring about the evangelization of many remote parts of the earth, who had not heard the good news about Jesus Christ and His so-great salvation?

What if all the wars and realignment of nations is nothing more than God working through providential means to bring about the proclamation of the Good News and the protection of His Church? What if the sufferings and persecution of His Children was meant to inspire a new generation to proclaim His Truth and save many through the preaching of repentance and faith in Jesus? I know it might seem like I’m minimizing human progress and suffering – subjecting everything to that one message of forgiveness and grace through faith in the shed blood of God’s Only Begotten Son. Truth is, from the Spiritual Eternal Perspective, that’s exactly what I’m saying. Many have spent their lives inventing the next great miracle cure for disease, producing bountiful food supplies to help the poor, fighting yet another “War to End All Wars” or creating the best video game since Super Mario Brothers – just to provide a few moments of relief or pleasure. But God looks at life without the boundary of time. He’s working to bring about Everlasting World Peace, in a New Heaven and New Earth where the Righteous will shine like the Sun, with the Son of God, Jesus Christ!
