“Only A Savvy, Selfless Leader Can Fix This Mess!”
By Richard Allen – June 23, 2025

It’s a sad day when the Forces agitating for War are far more effective than the Forces striving for Peace. But truth be told, many historians tell us that what we call “periods of peacetime” are nothing more than “periods in which violent men are reloading.” I’m not naïve, and I know there are those out there who would scold me on the history of the CIA and its long-term covert ops to destabilize and overthrow governments around the world. And I do understand the complexity of world affairs, and the difficulty of forcing Western culture and values on others. But regardless of the factors that make drawing conclusions difficult, I want to venture into the deep water here and reflect on the drastic changes we’ve seen in my lifetime, specifically regarding the Mideast’s biggest antagonist: Iran. If we were to travel back to Iran prior to the “Fundamentalist-Islamic-Revolution” that came about in 1979, I think we’d be shocked at what Iran looked like in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Just the sight of Iranian women, wearing western garb (mini skirt below), while attending college should make us realize the drastic upheaval that happened when America’s naïve, misguided globalist President – Jimmy Carter, undermined an important ally, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Sha of Iran – and turned over the state of Iran to “militant, radical Islamists, bent on death and destruction!

For those of you who know the story, Jimmy Carter, an adherent of the Tri-lateral Commission and advocate for “The New World Order” decided to undermine the Sha of Iran, and allow a handful of Islamo-Fascist-Fundamentalists to start a Revolution, taking complete and total control of Iran’s government – all in the name of “Human Rights.” In my lifetime, there were only two presidents before Donald J. Trump who were not a globalist-New-World-Order leaders: John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan. I think Harry Truman and Dwight Eisenhower intended good, but still went along with the prevailing post-war strategy that every other post-World-War-II leader was committed to at Yalta: The establishment of the “The New World Order.” As misguided as they all were, their strategy only managed to accomplish one thing: “Facilitate Ongoing Global Conflicts!”
I’m well aware of the old adage: “Hindsight is 20/20,” so it’s easy to criticize. But Jimmy Carter was the first of several Democrats who were openly ignorant over the “fight for freedom,” and failed to recognize “Tyranny in its many forms.” Jimmy Carter was a likeable, professing Christian down-home kind of guy – who was personally faithful to his wife. But he was an inept leader. His mismanagement of the economy, oil-production and then capitulation to a Radical Fundamentalist-Islamo-Fascist exiled outside Iran, ultimately brought down his presidency – preventing him from a second term. The same Radicals whom he allowed to take control of Iran after undermining the Sha – attacked the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, holding 66 American personnel and diplomats hostage for 444 days – covering the last year of his presidency. America was humiliated along with Jimmy. He was clueless, impotent and incapable of threatening or projecting American power, so voters rejected him for a strong leader, Ronald Reagan in 1980. Modern pundits have joked that Jimmy Carter’s record was rescued by Joe Biden, that is, rescued from being considered the most feckless and inept president in history. Joe Biden must have taken it as a challenge, as he excelled in virtually every category. While Joe set records with the “worst withdrawal from a theater of war” with his shameful retreat from Afghanistan, Jimmy still holds the record for: “Turning over Iran to Radical Militants and Destabilizing the entire Middle-East!”
As we now face another conflict with Iran, let me caution those “nay-sayers” who believe that Trump has somehow abandoned his promise “not to get us into meaningless foreign wars.” Please be aware that in many ways, Trump, currently working through our most reliable ally in the Mideast – Israel – is just undoing the disastrous policies of Jimmy Carter. The list of Iranian sponsored “terror” over the past 46 years is so long, I would need several blogs just to mention every incident. Iran has fomented, funded and recruited “terror” across the Middle-East, shedding the blood of “non-combatants” with no concern for the innocent. Jimmy Carter proved himself incapable of being decisive or solving complex problems. Jimmy decided that the Iranian Sha’s efforts to modernize Iran – bringing it out of a seventh century mindset – had been too brutal, so he “undermined the Sha” over his human rights abuses. Sadly, Carter unleashed a wave of terror, mass murder and death by the Iranian regime that made the Sha’s actions look mild in comparison. As soon as the Ayatollah Khamenei came to power in 1979, he instituted “Sharia Law” on the people of Iran. He proceeded to bludgeon and terrorize his own people with imprisonment, chopping off hands for theft, using the wealth of his country’s “oil revenue” toward exporting terror and opposing Western cultures – rather than improving the lives of the Iranian people. Truth be told, the worst victims of Jimmy Carter’s misguided regime change in Iran were the Iranian People.
Since the Revolution in 1979, the Iranian regime has been involved in assassinations of dissidents, terrorist plots, and actual terrorist attacks in 40 countries globally. Iran targeted 360 assassinations around the world – including mass bombings. In 1983, they initiated bombings in Beirut including the U.S. Embassy (63 dead, including 17 Americans) and the U.S. Marine Barracks (241 dead). They bombed the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia in 1996, killing 19 U.S. Servicemen. But most of Iran’s terror has been unleashed through their proxies: Hezbollah (Lebanon), Hamas (Palestinian Territories), Houthi movement (Yemen), Al-Ashtar Brigades (Bahrain), Badr Organization (Iraq), Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq (Iraq), Fatemiyoun Brigade (Syria), Zainabiyoun Brigade (Syria), Quwat al-Ridha (Syria) and Baqir Brigade (Syria) just to mention the biggest groups. Sadly, Iran’s oil wealth is spent on killing and terror – and not on the well-being of its people. Again, the Iranian people are the real tragedy in this story.
I bring these groups up, mainly to discuss what the role of the United States should be? Are we the “world’s policeman?” Do we need to stop injustice everywhere on the planet? Should we institute “regime change” in Iran to topple their bloodthirsty leaders? Some would argue: “We took out Hitler and later defeated Soviet Communism,” so some might say we have an obligation to right all the wrongs on planet earth. Others would state emphatically: “We can’t right every wrong – nor should we get embroiled in every foreign war.” Now 20 years out – in hindsight, Afghanistan and Iraq sure look to have been colossal mistakes. While I don’t have a definitive answer, I do have a fairly informed opinion. I believe that the only criteria we should use when considering a possible intervention, is to look through this lens: “Is there a ‘Strategic American Interest’ at stake, that involves the well-being and safety of American citizens?”
Again, “hindsight is 20/20,” but if we look at the Afghanistan / Iraq excursion – initiated soon after the Twin Towers were attacked on September 11, 2001 – it sure appears there was something else going on, and I’m not even talking about our own government’s involvement. Since the majority of the “hijackers” were Saudi Intelligence, why didn’t we go after Saudi Arabia? Why did we attack Afghanistan and Iraq when there was “no clear intelligence that either was involved?” Like Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush was a “globalist” who appears to have had another agenda going on. With the Trillions of Dollars that were spent on those two wars – some are convinced that Vice President Dick Cheney was clearly orchestrating the military campaign. Even former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, realized much later that “we went on a hunting expedition,” especially in Iraq. It turns out, that taking Saddam Hussein out was a major goal for the Mullahs in Iran. And the only two groups who benefited from the Afghanistan / Iraq War was the Military Industrial Complex and Iran. I’m also convinced that a major reason for George W. Bush going to war with Saddam Hussein was that Saddam had orchestrated an attempt on the life of George H.W. Bush, his father, in 1993. What’s even more idiotic is that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton took out Muammar Gaddafi, the strong man in Libya – not for what was in America’s best interest – but solely for political reasons. Again, Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi, while bad actors, were both “secular restraints” against Radical Islamo-Fascist regimes like Iran. It’s clear that after Gulf War 1 in 1991, Saddam Hussein was no longer a strategic threat to the United States.
This brings me to the real issue at hand: Is a president elected to serve his own agenda? How about his own feelings on human rights? Or what about an attempt to kill your father? Or even, that War is very good for business – specifically the Weapons Industry controlled by the Military Industrial Complex? I think it’s easy to see that “none of these things” alone are compelling reasons to go to war. Both Carter and Bush were not motivated by what was in the best interest of America or her citizens. I do feel confident that as President Trump mulls over these important decisions, he will make a decision based on what’s in our country’s best interest. As I publish this on Sunday, June 22, I do need to address the actions of the past 24 hours since President Trump directed Stealth Bombers to be flown from the U.S. to Iran to bomb three sites where they were making “weapons-grade” uranium, clearly to make a nuclear bomb. This action is not a response that Trump is predisposed to. I genuinely believe that he wants peace and negotiation. By nature, Trump is a “deal-maker.” But this action was clearly in the best interest of the United States and peace in the Middle-East. In the end, Trump did what was right for the country – not what he personally preferred, or what might have been expedient.
In conclusion, let me observe that as a result of Trump’s actions over the past ten years – at great personal cost to himself and his family – he has incurred non-stop hatred from the elected and unelected Political Class trying to take him out. I’m not saying ‘the Donald’ is perfect, only time will tell. But I am saying, he’s as “selfless” as any leader I’ve seen in my lifetime! We need leaders who are not only savvy and wise, but who are also interested in serving the people, and not themselves! Trump’s behavior over the past decade has earned our trust and patience. I’m confident he has, and will continue to do what is in America’s best interest.
Soli Deo Gloria
